ABOUT SWPL
Founded in 1976 by Arturo Briones in Garden Grove, California, the Southwest Premier League began as Coast Soccer League. For 50 years, the league has provided a competitive and sustainable home for adult amateur soccer clubs.
In 2009, following an expansion partnership with NorCal Premier, the league became SoCal Premier. A decade later, it became an official affiliate of NISA Pro and rebranded as the Southwest Premier League, expanding its reach across the Southwestern United States.
Today, SWPL remains the league of choice for ambitious adult soccer clubs throughout the region. We put clubs first, emphasizing affordability, stability, and long-term growth. By working closely with each club and supporting its unique goals, we help build stronger organizations and a more connected soccer community.
LEAGUE COSTS
$500 League Fee per Season
Player registration - $50 per player, per season
Cup Tournaments included in cost
Referee fees - see Gameday page for ref fees per region
League-Provided Fields - If you do not have your own home field, the league may provide a field for you. Payment for home games must be paid one month in advance of games. Prices range from $175-300 per game.
Included in SWPL fees above - 4 Game Balls per year, League Patches, Awards, Prizes, partner/sponsor discounts
