SCPL Week 4 Recap: Forza SC Scores Early, Often & Leads 1st Division South
LA MIRADA, CA (February 23, 2026) - Three goals in the first 20 minutes and Forza SC is back in the win column.
Angel Vasquez, Alex Monjaraz and Connor Somers all scored inside the first 20 minutes as Forza SC defeated FC United Kingdom 5-2 in a SoCal Premier League First Division match at Oak Creek Park in Irvine on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Somers added a second goal in the 37th minute for Forza SC (3-0-1 overall), which leads the SCPL First Division South with nine points after the win.
Lex Leathem and Jamie Eijpen had goals in the loss for FC United Kingdom (1-1-2), which sits in third place in the First Division South.
Also on Sunday, Noah Leonardo scored twice in the first 12 minutes as Artesia DES FC beat Lions SC 5-0 at Ross Middle School in Artesia, an own goal proved pivotal as Zapa FC went on to topple Buena Park FC 5-2 at Lake Forest Sports Park, Christian Gonzalez scored the lone goal as Academia Gullit edged AMSG Elite 1-0 at Oak Creek Park and Stewart Alvayero scored two more goal as Montclair Academy FC earned a 6-1 win over Inland Empire FC at South Fontana Sports Complex.
In the Second Division, Christopher Remily entered late and scored goals in the 81st and 86th minute as Temecula FC II came from behind to beat FC Cypress 3-2 at Oak Creek Park on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Also on Sunday, three different players had two goals each for FAS USA in a 9-1 rout over Fontana Legacy FC and Oak Creek Park, Gustavo Arias scored twice as Pasadena Cali SC played to a 2-2 draw against Montclair Academy FC II at Los Angeles City College stadium, AMSG U23 beat Club Athletic Los Angeles 6-2 at John Anson Ford Park in Bell Gardens and Academia Gullit Dos beat Olympiacos CA Reserves 4-1 at Orange County Great Park.
