SCPL Week 4 Recap: Big Philip Back In Form

LA MIRADA, CA (October 6, 2025) - Never doubt that Big Philip is going to find the back of the net.

Towering forward Philip Hephzibah scored five goals as Real Sociedad O.C. defeated AMSG Elite 8-1 in a SoCal Premier League Men’s First Division match at Oak Creek Park in Irvine, CA, on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Hephzibah has six goals on the season for Real Sociedad O.C. (4-0-0 overall), which sits atop the SCPL First Division table with a league-leading 19 goals.

Also on Sunday, Artesia DES FC drew 2-2 with FC United Kingdom at Ross Middle School in Artesia, and Edwin Conriquez and Daniel Quinonez scored goals as Forza SC beat Temecula FC II 2-1 at Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park in Temecula.

In the SCPL Second Division, Joey Benitez and William Hernandez both scored twice for Zapa FC in a 7-1 victory over Olympiacos CA Reserves at Lake Forest Sports Park in Lake Forest on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Benitez assisted the first goal scored by Hernandez for Zapa FC (4-0-0), which leads the SCPL Second Division.

Also on Sunday, Angel Renteria and Angel Torres both scored a goal for Atlas FC South Bay in a 4-3 win over AMSG U23 4-3 at Playa Vista Sports Park in Playa Vista, William Akinola scored twie in the second half to salvage a point for One More FC in a 3-3 draw against Academia Gullit at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, and Angel Villamar and Stewart Alvayero scored two goals each as Montclair Academy FC beat Fontana Legacy FC 9-3 at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex in Fontana.
