Academia Gullit Joins The SoCal Premier League

LA MIRADA, CA (September 16, 2025) - The SoCal Premier League announces Academia Gullit as a new league member.

Formed in 2025 by former Mexican professional soccer player Carlos "Gullit" Peña, Academia Gullit enters the Southwest Premier League for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

"Carlos Peña created Academia Gullit to provide local soccer players in the Los Angeles area with a pathway to professional soccer," SWPL Commissioner Kian Kohan said. "The club has seen early success in the United Premier Soccer League, and I am confident they can replicate that success with their SoCal Premier League squad."

Based in Bell Gardens, CA, Academia Gullit were champions of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Men's SoCal Division One during the Spring 2025 season.
