SCPL Week 11 Recap: Artesia DES FC Surprises Academia Gullit

LA MIRADA, CA (April 20, 2026) - The battle for second place is not over.

Diego Campos scored early in both halves as Artesia DES FC upended second-place Academia Gullit 4-1 in a SoCal Premier League First Division match at Ross Middle School in Artesia on Sunday, April 19.

Noah Leonardo added a goal for Artesia DES FC (4-3-3 overall), which sits four points behind Academia Gullit (6-1-2) with two matches remaining.

Montclair Academy FC (8-0-0) continues to lead the SCPL First Division South after a 6-1 win over AMSG Elite at Oak Creek Park in Irvine on Sunday.

In the Second Division, Montclair Academy FC’s second team topped Academia Gullit Dos 2-0 at Oak Creek Park, while FAS USA Academy remains tied for first place after a 3-1 win over Fontana Legacy FC at Los Angeles City College Stadium.

Also on Sunday, Luis Alvarado scored twice as FC Cypress shut out Olympiacos FC Reserves 5-0 at Orange County Great Park and Nathan Padilla had two goals as CD FAS USA earned a 6-1 win over Club Athletic Los Angeles at John Anson Ford Park in Bell Gardens.
