SCPL Week 1 Recap: Ebrima Njie Opens Season With Hat Trick

LA MIRADA, CA (September 15, 2025) - Week 1 of the SoCal Premier League provided some fascinating results.

Reigning SoCal Premier League Player of the Season Ebrima Njie scored three goals for Real Sociedad O.C. in a 7-4 victory over FC United Kingdom in a high-scoring thriller to open up the SCPL Division One at Oak Creek Park in Irvine, CA on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Njie scored 19 league goals to claim the Golden Boot during the 2024/2025 season.

The SCPL Division Two also kicked off with Joey Benitez scoring the opener for Zapa FC in a 3-0 shutout victory over FC Cypress at Oak Creek Park in Irvine, CA on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, Fuminiwi Akanwo scored early for One More FC in a 3-1 win over Olympiacos CA Reserves in a hotly-contested match at Pleasant View Park in Huntington Beach, CA.
