Joey Benitez Selected As SoCal Premier League U.S. Army Player Of The Week

LA MIRADA, CA (November 12, 2025) - Zapa FC forward Joey Benitez has been selected SoCal Premier League Player of the Week for Nov. 3-9.

Benitez scored two goals as Zapa FC defeated Fontana Legacy FC 4-1 in a SoCal Premier League Men’s Second Division match at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex in Fontana, CA, on Sunday, Nov. 9. 

A graduate of Foothill High School in Santa Ana, CA, Benitez is an Irvine Valley College (CCCAA) alum and previously played for Pateadores Soccer Club. This is Bentitez’s second SoCal Player of the Week selection this season.   

The U.S. Army is the exclusive sponsor of the SoCal Premier League Player of the Week. The SoCal Premier League Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
