SoCal Premier League Announces Raul Briones Cup Champion Will Qualify For USASA Region IV Tourney

LA MIRADA, CA (April 15, 2026) - The SoCal Premier League is raising the stakes.

The league has announced that a spot in this summer’s United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) Region IV Tournament is on the line as the 2025-'26 Season comes to an exciting conclusion in the coming weeks.

“This is an historic moment for the SoCal Premier League and the culmination of a lot of incredibly dedicated work by Matt Morse to realign the league with USASA,” SWPL President Kian Kohan said. “To be able to offer a spot in the Region IV Tournament is a big feather in our league’s cap and we are thrilled to be able to reward our Raul Briones Cup champion.”

Among the exciting matchups coming up:

Apriil 25: Raul Briones Cup Semifinal - Real Sociedad O.C. vs. Montclair Academy FC
*May 17: Raul Briones Cup Final (Teams TBA)
June TBA: SoCal Premier 1st Division Final (Teams TBA)
July TBA: SWPL Championship (SoCal Premier 1st Division champion vs. Pacific Premier champion)

* - Winner earns spot in 2026 USASA Region IV Tournament

The winner of the Raul Briones Cup Final on May 17 will be registered for the USASA Region IV Tournament in Farmington, Utah on June 26-28.

Currently, the Raul Briones Cup semifinal round is underway with Temecula FC leading Forza SC 5-1 after the first of their two-leg aggregate series. The second leg is set for Sunday, April 26.

The other side of the bracket has Montclair Academy FC with 4-2 lead on Real Sociedad O.C. after the first of their two-leg series. The second leg will be played on Saturday, April 25.
