SCPL Week 10 Recap: Academia Gullit Proves Something

LA MIRADA, CA (April 13, 2026) - One of this season’s questions - Which division is stronger; North or South? - has been answered.

In a definitive showing, North Division second-place Academia Gullit toppled South Division leaders Forza SC 5-1 in a SoCal Premier League First Division match at Orange County Great Park in Irvine on Sunday, April 12.

It’s the fourth victory in five matches for Academia Gullit (6-1-1 overall), which is two points behind Montclair Academy (7-0-0) for the lead in the SCPL First Division South.

Also on Sunday, Artesia DES FC set a season high for offensive in a 10-0 victory over AMSG Elite at Ross Middle School in Artesia.

In the Second Division, Danny Nachawati scored the first three goals of the match in the seventh, 17th and 22nd minutes, respectively, as FC Cypress went on to beat Club Athletic Los Angeles 8-1 at John Anson Ford Park in Bell Gardens on Sunday, April 12. Nachawati finished with four goals.

Also on Sunday, CD FAS USA defeated Fontana Legacy FC 3-2 at South Fontana Sports Complex, and Carlos Diaz scored twice as CF FAS Academy beat Temecula FC 6-0 at Los Angeles City College Stadium.
