Yassir Perez Selected U.S. Army SoCal Premier League Player Of The Week

LA MIRADA, CA (October 1, 2025) - Academia Gullit Midfielder Yassir Perez has been selected SoCal Premier League Player of the Week for Sept. 22-28.

Perez scored two goals in less than five minutes in the second half for Academia Gullit in a 6-3 victory over Atlas FC South Bay in a SoCal Premier League Men’s Second Division match at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA, on Sunday, Sept. 28.

Perez is currently a sophomore at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA. He previously played youth soccer for Albion SC Los Angeles, Beach FC and Slammers FC.

The U.S. Army is the exclusive sponsor of the SoCal Premier League Player of the Week. The SoCal Premier League Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
