Bay Area United Claims Its First Abronzino Cup

SAN FRANCISCO (March 2, 2026) – Bay Area United is back in a big way.

Returning to the Pacific Premier League spotlight with a dominant performance, Bay Area United defeated Santa Clara SC 5-0 to claim the Umberto Abronzino Cup Final at Reed & Grant Sports Park on Saturday, February 28.

An Alameda County CA-based club that last played in the Pacific Premier League in 2024, Bay Area United lost 3-2 to Santa Clara SC in the group stage but otherwise totaled 20 goals across six tournament matches.

Santa Clara SC, the inaugural Umberto Abronzino Cup champions in 2023, has lost back-to-back tournament finals.
