La Familia FC Claims SoCal Premier League Division 1 Crown

LA MIRADA (June 4, 2025) – They had to wait a little extra, but La Familia FC is the new champion in the SoCal Premier League Men's Division One.

Led by Luis Calderon, Maxwell Rodriguez, DeShawn Mendel and others, La Familia FC accumulated a league-best 44 points from 17 points, edging Real Sociedad O.C. to claim the club’s first title.

The Division One championship comes just two years after the club was promoted from Division 2, and just one year after the club was a first-time finalist in the 2024 Raul Briones Cup.

The Family took 44 from a possible 51 points with 14 wins, two draws and only one loss - including a four-match winning streak to end the season.

Real Sociedad O.C., the 2024 SoCal Premier League Men's Under-23 Division champions, finish second. Medallo City FC finishes third.
