SWPL Clubs Compete in the 2027 US Open Cup

The Southwest Premier League will be represented by 10 clubs in the fight against a record-breaking field of 155 amateur teams in the upcoming qualifying rounds for the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

As a prominent force on the West Coast, the SWPL's league affiliates are sending competitive squads into the four fall knockout rounds, which run from September to November 2026. The league's contingent features a mix of debutants and seasoned tournament regulars, including Sacramento-based Legends SC — the Pacific Premier League spring champion making its tournament debut — and Redwood City’s JSC JASA returning for another qualification push.

They are joined in the crowded West Region field by the Redondo Beach's DC Monsters out of the SoCal Premier League, recent San Diego Super Liga champions Chula Vista FC, Utah-based STG Premier Pro and Nevada Premier League sides Be Pro FC and Las Vegas United FC.

The field also includes former SoCal Premier League champions Capo FC and Problems FC, and Sin City FC - a finalist for this year's SWPL Championship.

These amateur standouts will compete locally based on geographic proximity to secure one of the coveted 16 open-division spots in the official tournament proper next March.
