Matthew Mendoza Selected SoCal Premier League U.S. Army Player Of The Week

LA MIRADA, CA (September 22, 2025) - Zapa FC Forward Matthew Mendoza has been selected SoCal Premier Player of the Week for Sept. 15-21.

Mendoza scored twice in 21 minutes as Zapa FC defeated Atlas FC South Bay 6-2 in a SoCal Premier League Men’s Second Division match at Lake Forest Sports Park in Lake Forest on Sunday, Sept. 21.

A native of Santa Ana, CA, Mendoza played four varsity seasons and is a graduate of Tustin, CA’s Foothill High School. He previously played for Irvine Pateadores SC. 

The U.S. Army is the exclusive sponsor of the SoCal Premier League Player of the Week. The SoCal Premier League Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
