Joey Benitez Selected SoCal Premier League U.S. Army Player Of The Week

LA MIRADA, CA (October 8, 2025) - Zapa FC forward Joey Benitez has been selected SoCal Premier League Player of the Week for Oct. 1-5.

Benitez scored two goals and added an assist as Zapa FC defeated Olympiacos CA Reserves 7-1 in a SoCal Premier League Second Division match at Lake Forest Sports Park in Lake Forest on Sunday, Oct. 5.

A former varsity player and a graduate of Tustin, CA’s Foothill High School, Benitez previously played for Irvine Valley College (CCCAA).

The U.S. Army is the exclusive sponsor of the SoCal Premier League Player of the Week. The SoCal Premier League Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
